(Lebanon, Penn.) October 7, 2012 – The Lebanon business community is expanding once again. Local logistics business DRT Transportation is breaking ground on a new 6,000 sq. ft. office facility in Tuck Business Park, North Cornwall Township, Lebanon, on Tuesday, October 9, at 10:00 a.m.

Robert Kemp, President of DRT Transportation, said, “This ground breaking is about more than a new building in town, it shows that there is still opportunity for business to grow in Lebanon. It’s a great feeling to take an idea, and turn it into a business that provides good jobs to members of our community, helps to build our tax base that funds school, parks and services, and makes Lebanon more vibrant, stronger and economically successful.”

DRT was founded in 2007, under the motto, “Delivering Tomorrow Today.” The company provides logistics services nationwide, and has branches in Houston, TX; Knoxville, TN; Atlanta GA, and is headquartered in Lebanon, PA. While many companies have struggled in the recession and the weak recovery cycle, DRT has experienced rapid and continuous business growth of 40% each and every year since inception.

The key to DRT Transportation’s success is summarized in their mission statement, which speaks of creating value and a competitive edge for their customers. To do so, DRT evaluates their customers’ transportation and supply chains, and then creates an optimized plan for cost savings and efficiency based upon their extensive knowledge of carrier prices, routes, capacities, specific equipment type and availability, as well as technological resources.

DRT offers logistics services in a variety of specialties, among them; Vendor Management, Truckload Services, LTL and Parcel Services, Supply Chain Engineering and Project Management, as well as other essential logistics services.

K&R, their transportation sales company which works closely with DRT, offers transport through 70 different carrier companies. They are not a broker, but sales agents, which allows them the freedom to help businesses select the best transportation choice for their particular needs.   The groundbreaking ceremony will be attended by a variety of local officials as well as officials of DRT and many members of the Chamber of Commerce. New buildings, new beginnings and growth are welcome signs of the strength of the Lebanon business community.
