Former Traffic Tech VP, Karen Martin, adds new depth to DRT leadership team

Lebanon, Penn: DRT Transportation, an asset-owning intermodal marketing company and third-party logistics provider, announces the hire of former Traffic Tech Vice President, Karen Martin, as the Director of Brokerage Operations. Martin brings nearly ten years of industry knowledge to the DRT team, as well as a history of success scaling teams and operations at a national level.

“Karen’s operational experience creates a huge opportunity for DRT to expand our brokerage services,” said President of DRT Transportation, Rob Kemp. “We’ve experienced consistent organic growth so far, and Karen’s experience will allow us to harness that growth so we can become more efficient at what we do,” Kemp said.

Before joining DRT, Martin spent most of her career at Traffic Tech, a global logistics provider headquartered in Chicago. She started as an entry-level logistics coordinator and worked her way up to Vice President of U.S. Operations. In that role, she and her team oversaw the grand opening and management of more than ten U.S. offices.

“Part of DRT’s success is their willingness and ability to quickly adapt to the needs of their customers,” said Martin. “My goal is to help the team continue to adapt methodically,” said Martin.

Martin is based in the Eagan, Minnesota office, but will spend time in all four offices mentoring brokerage team members. In her free time, Martin enjoys cooking and entertaining, and as a native Minnesotan, loves outdoor activities like hiking, camping and boating.
