Montreal office to provide enhanced service offerings to Canadian market.
Lebanon, Penn: DRT Transportation, an asset-owning intermodal marketing company and third-party logistics firm, announced the opening of a new office in Quebec. The office is located in the city of Laval, a suburb of Montreal, and is DRT’s first Canadian location. The new office will allow DRT to better support current and potential clients with transportation and logistics needs in Canada.
“As we move into Canada, we are leveraging two new team members with decades of experience in the Canadian freight industry and using their expertise to better service our customers,” said President, Rob Kemp.
Those team members are Director of Brokerage Operations, Karen Martin, and Montreal Branch Manager, Andrew Myron, who joined DRT earlier this year. The combined expertise and carrier relationships have helped bring DRT’s Canadian expansion to fruition.
“This new office is exciting because we are expanding our capabilities, diversifying our talents and strengthening our international presence,” said Martin. “We have worked to bring in more and more Canadian carriers so that we have the ability to support our customers in better ways than ever before.”
The new office will also help streamline operations and customer support for shipments to, from and within Canada.
“The Montreal office will be a resource for the United States locations and will be able to help manage shipments that need to cross the border,” said Myron.
Martin and Myron will look to add four more employees to the Montreal team in the next six months. Positions will include both sales and operations staff.
